
O'Leary Tallies; #22 Pirates Draw with #3 Hoyas on Saturday

South Orange, N.J. Â -Â The #22 Seton Hall men's soccer team drew against #3 Georgetown, 1-1, at home on Saturday. The draw moved the Pirates unbeaten streak to six at home and kept the Pirates in the second spot in the East Division behind the Hoyas.
After a scoreless first, in which the defensive strength of both squads was on display, the Pirates entered the break with a 2-0 advantage in shots on net. The Hall threatened late in the half with a few chances but were unable to break the tie.
Late in the second period, Georgetown was able to break the nil-nil tie with a goal in the 74th minute. With the Hoyas attacking, Kyle Linhares struck a shot off the frame of the goal an the rebound found an open Derek Dodson who put the Hoyas ahead with his second goal of the season.
Turning Point
Facing a late game deficit the Pirates responded less than seven minutes later when Eden O'Leary (Tel Aviv, Israel) found the equalizer. Coming off of a free kick, James Boote (Southampton, England) played a ball towards the back post that O'Leary was able to get his foot to and beat the Hoya keeper for his first goal of the season in just his second game played after missing time since the Pirates' opener.

Now level, the Pirates and Hoyas would trade chances in both over time periods before the resulting draw.

Inside the Numbers.
- The assist for Boote was his fourth of season which ties him for the team lead.
- In total, the Hoyas outshot the Pirates 18-14 but the Hall landed more shots on net, 7-5.
- In net, Andreas Nota (Rome, Italy) picked up four saves, while only allowing the one goal over 110 minutes.
- Denis Kelmendi (Falkenberg, Sweden), JJohannes Pex (Stephansposching, Germany), Paavo Riihijarvi (Oulu, Finland) and Luca Dahn (Kahl, Germany) all played the full 110 minutes needed for the Pirates.
- Seton Hall moves to 6-1-3 on the season and 4-1-2 in the BIG EAST.
- The Hall remains unbeaten at home, moving to 5-0-1.
