Seton Hall Opens 2021 Campaign Against Lafayette

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's soccer team returns to action on Thursday as it makes its 2021 home debut against Lafayette at 6 p.m. at Owen T. Carroll Field.

All home matches are free and are open to the public. If entering a campus building, per the university's current indoor mask mandate, all individuals (vaccinated and unvaccinated) are required to wear a mask at all indoor, nonresidential, on-campus University settings, except when alone or dining.

New for 2021-22, all PSN and BEDN events that are produced on campus will be distributed on FloSports, one of the leading streaming services in the world. Seton Hall is coming off a season where it played in five matches that went to overtime, tying a program record set in 2001.
The 2020 campaign saw the Pirates win their first season opener since 2014 and defeat conference rival St. John's for the first time since 2011.
Two seniors from last season – Laura Hooper (Watford, England) and Dani Brinckman (Glastonbury, Conn.) – are back for fifth seasons and will help hold down the midfield and back line, respectively.
Also back for The Hall on defense are upperclassmen Maris Difonso (Joppa, Md.), Emily Arellano (Wadsworth, Ohio), Lauren DiPietro (Stoney Creek, Ontario), Abbie Roberts (Bedfordshire, England) and, at goal, Grace Gordon (Chester Springs, Pa).
