South Orange, N.J. – Seton Hall softball head coach Angie Churchill has announced the addition of Emily Schaffer to the Pirates softball coaching staff as an assistant coach.
Schaffer arrives at Seton Hall after three years as an assistant coach at Post University. During her time on the staff at Post, Schaffer helped lead the Eagles to a 49-34 record including a CACC Semifinal appearance in 2021.
Prior to her coaching career, Schaffer was one of the top hitters in Post University history. Upon her graduation, Schaffer finished her four-year career ranked third all-time in career hits, fourth in doubles and fifth in both home runs and RBIs. A two-time All-CACC team member, including a first team appearance her senior season, Schaffer was also named a Division II CCA Second Team All-East Region honoree in 2018.
"Coach Shaffer is one of the up-and-coming, younger coaches in our game. She brings a great deal of hitting and defensive knowledge to our staff and will definitely help us elevate our program to a championship level," Churchill said. "I'm excited to have her as part of the Pirate softball family."
Schaffer earned her MBA in Management and Operations from Post University in 2019 after earning a BA in Psychology from Post in 2018.
