Aronov Scores Fourth Goal In 2-1 Loss To UConn

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Junior Julia Aronov (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) found the back of the net for the fourth time this season but it was enough as the Seton Hall women's soccer team fell to Connecticut, 2-1, on Thursday evening at Owen T. Carroll Field.
After missing the last three games with an injury, Aronov came up with the equalizer just after the halftime break in the 47th minute. Freshman Cara Milne-Redhead (Clitheroe, England) sent the ball into the box where it bounced and found classmate Sophie Liston (West Newcastle, Ireland). Liston settled and tapped it back to Aronov who finished with a goal.
Liston now has a team-high five assists this season for the Pirates (6-5, 1-2 BIG EAST).
After the Huskies struck first in the 21st minute, senior Emma Ramsay (Mississauga, Ontario) was fouled in the box in the 29th. Milne-Redhead stepped up to the spot and delivered a low strike to left corner but the penalty shot was stopped. With the score tied at 1-1 late in the second half, UConn went ahead in the 86th minute and it proved to be the game-winning score.
