How it Happened
The Pirates were forced to defend for much of the first half, and did well to keep the Hoyas off the scoreboard for much of it. Ronnholmen was called upon in the 13th minute to make a stop, getting in the way of a shot from Kieran Sargeant from the left side of the penalty area.

Liam Guske (St. John's, Fla.) has one of his three shots come in the 27th minute, as the freshman was active on the ball all day. Guske had the ball find him at the back post after a cross from Johannes Pex (Stephansposching, Germany), however the freshman's shot went just wide.

Georgetown final struck in the 31st minute, as Pex's clearance from the edge of the 18-yard box deflected off Sargeant who found Marlon Tabora in front of the goal.
In the second half, the attack opened up for the Pirates. Andrea Borg (Sliema, Malta) was inserted into the lineup at halftime, and his quickness helped generate numerous chances over the final 45 minutes. The Pirates outshot the Hoyas, 9-4, after halftime.
Of the nine shots for Seton Hall in the second half, five of them were on target, and another glanced off the crossbar. That shot came from Luca Dahn (Kahl, Germany) in the 70th minute as the Pirates were swarming the front of the net but were unable to cash in.
Despite the Pirate pressure, Georgetown was able to add an insurance goal in the 84th minute from Jacob Murrell to take a 2-0 lead.
