Pirates Wrap Up Day One at BIG EAST Championships

East Meadow, N.Y. – The Seton Hall women's swimming and diving team opened up day one at the 2022 BIG EAST Championships with a pair of relay races on Wednesday night at the Nassau Aquatic Center.
First, the Pirates team of Madeline Field (Wheaton, Ill.), Lea Moeller (New Lenox, Ill.), Josie McCartney (Verona, Wisc.), Cornelia Jerresand (Taeby, Sweden) combined to touch the wall in a time of 1:44.05 in the 200 Medley Relay event to kick off the championships. Next, Natalie Heim (Middletown, N.J.), Allie Waggoner (Moorestown, N.J.), Madeleine Bachand (Raleigh, N.C.) and Amanda Zajdzinski (Mesa, Ariz.) finished in a time of 7:30.08 in the 800 Free Relay to close out the night.
Seton Hall currently finds themselves in fifth in the BIG EAST team standings with 100 points.
