Hill Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK – Seton Hall softball's Taylor Hill (Little Falls, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll the conference office announced on Monday. The freshman went 5-for-10 (.500) with a double and 5 RBIs in three games against Butler over the weekend. This is Hill's first selection for the conference's weekly honors list.
In The Hall's win in game one on Friday, Hill went 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs to lead the Pirates to victory. In game two, Hill picked right up where she left off in game one, putting the Pirates on the board in the first with an RBI single as part of a 2-for-3 day with an RBI giving her a total of five hits and five RBIs on the afternoon.
Hill has turned it on in conference play for the Pirates, leading all qualified hitters with a .414 average and four doubles in nine BIG EAST games. The Pirates' primary shortstop is also tied for the team lead in conference runs driven in with eight to her credit to go along with a .973 fielding percentage.
Seton Hall will be back in action this weekend as they travel to Manhattan for a doubleheader on Saturday before returning to host a single game with Saint Peter's on Sunday.
