Gumerova and Moen Named BIG EAST Players of the Week for Second Time

NEW YORK - The Seton Hall women's tennis tandem of junior Arina Gumerova and freshman Arabella Moen captured BIG EAST Doubles Players of the Week for the second time, the conference office announced Wednesday.
Paired up for the first time just this spring, Gumerova and Moen are now 9-1 in spring dual matches this season after sweeping a pair this past weekend. First at home against Georgetown last Saturday, they defeated Chloe Bendetti and Mchaley Ho, 7-5. Then at Villanova on Sunday, they topped Annalise Klopfer and Emma Brogan, 6-4.
In addition to their 9-1 overall record, Gumerova and Moen are 3-0 in BIG EAST doubles matches and were leading in a fourth match before the clinch rule came into play.
Seton Hall is back in action on Saturday at NJIT.
