Portland, Ore. – Seton Hall fell to Portland, 3-1, on Monday night to conclude its west coast swing. The match was tied heading into the second half, but two late Pilots' goals allowed them to pull ahead. Quenzi Huerman (Vannes, France) scored on a penalty kick for his second goal of the season.

How it Happened
Portland opened the scoring early, as Brandon Cambridge found the back of the net in the seventh minute to give the Pilots a 1-0 lead. Portland nearly found another goal just 25 seconds later, but Pirate goalkeeper Hannes Ronnholmen (Stockholm, Sweden) made one of his six saves on the night to deny the scoring chance.

Seton Hall's goal came in the 24^th minute after Andrea Borg (Sliema, Malta) was taken down in the penalty area by Portland keeper George Tasouris. Huerman did the honors of stepping up to take the penalty and buried his second goal of the season into the bottom-left corner to level the match at 1-1.

Portland took the lead back in the 70^th minute as a counter attack led to Cambridge's second goal of the night. The Pilots would add an insurance goal in the 79^th minute as Delentz Pierre headed one in off a corner kick.

Inside the Numbers

Ronnholmen tied his career-high by making six saves in the setback.
Luca Dahn (Kahl, Germany) was the lone Pirate to log all 90 minutes, doing so for the 37^th time in his 39 career matches.
The Pirates registered seven shots on the night, with Borg and Dahn leading the way with two apiece.

Huerman now has points in three of his first four games of the season, and leads the team with five points overall.
The Pirates scored a penalty kick goal for the first time since Sep. 28, 2021, when they scored on a pair of PK's against Fordham
Mark Walier (Holmdel, N.J.) made his first appearance of the season, logging 29 minutes off the bench.
