Kelsey Carr Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK – Seton Hall's Kelsey Carr (Ridgewood, N.Y.) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced on Monday. This marks the second straight week in which Carr has received a weekly honor from the league after she was named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week last week.
Carr compiled a 1.50 ERA over 14 innings of work across three games for the Pirates. She went 2-1 in those games, earning wins in her starts against Manhattan on Wednesday and Georgetown on Friday. Against the Jaspers, she pitched four shutout innings and struck out five in the victory. Carr followed that up with a complete game effort on Friday against the Hoyas, scattering six hits and allowing just two earned runs in the Pirates' 4-2 win.
Carr and the Pirates travel to Omaha this weekend for a three-game series against Creighton beginning on Friday.
