Roorda Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK – Seton Hall's MATS ROORDA has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced on Monday.
This marks the second time this season that Roorda has received a weekly award from the conference, as he was named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week back on Aug. 28. The graduate student made eight saves in goal for the Pirates in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Harvard. So far in his first season in a Pirates uniform, Roorda has surrendered only two goals through five matches.
Roorda and the Pirates open BIG EAST play this Friday as they welcome Georgetown to Owen T. Carroll Field for a 6:56 p.m. clash.
