Reich Named Preseason All-BIG EAST

South Orange, N.J. -- Coming off of a standout sophomore campaign, junior right-handed pitcher Ryan Reich has been named Preseason All-BIG EAST by the league's head coaches.
This is Reich's third career All-BIG EAST honor after being named to last year's preseason squad and being tabbed First Team All-BIG EAST at the end of the 2024 campaign.
Reich led the BIG EAST and the team with 89 strikeouts. In conference games, Reich finished with the second-most strikeouts (51) and posted the third-lowest opponent's batting average (.194) among conference pitchers. His 4.09 ERA ranked eighth in the BIG EAST he finished sixth with 70.1 innings pitched. Six of Reich's seven starts in league play went at least five innings, including a career-best outing against Georgetown on April 6 when he struck out a career-high 13 batters in seven innings of work. Reich also surrendered just three hits and one run with five strikeouts in a six-inning no decision against UConn on May 4. He was named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week on April 8 and his 89 strikeouts were the most for a Seton Hall pitcher since 2014.Â
