Little Falls, N.J. – Aidan Sengenberger had a huge night with four hits and two runs scored as the Seton Hall baseball team got back on track with a win at NJIT on Wednesday night, 8-5. Three Pirates collected multi-hit efforts as the Pirates were able to jump on the Highlanders early en route to victory.

How it Happened
After two silent innings to start the night at Yogi Berra Stadium, Seton Hall struck first in the third inning. After Aiden Dill, who moved up to the leadoff spot in this game, reached on a fielder's choice and eventually moved to third, Sengenberger knocked him home on an RBI single to center. In the fourth, the Pirates would add a second run thanks to a sacrifice cly from Ty Acker.

After the Highlanders got one run back in their half of the fourth, Seton Hall would promptly respond with a big fifth inning. The Hall loaded the bases with nobody out, leading way for a two-run single to left from Ryan Frontera which gave the visitors a 4-1 lead. Two batters later, Shea Grady had a two-run single of his own, scoring Frontera and Sengenberger to cap a four-run frame. In the seventh, the Pirates would continue to mount a large lead as Vincent Duffy knocked home a pair with a two-run single.

Seton Hall pitching overall had a strong night, starting off with three scoreless innings from Jason Kuhn. Christopher Ho, Matt Pontari and Johm Higgins also posted scoreless outings, with Higgins earning his fourth save of the year.
