Pirates Fall in Game One of Weekend at Georgetown

How it Happened
Seton Hall got on the board right away in the top of the first. Aiden Dill led off the game with a ground-rule double, eventually advancing down to third on a passed ball. Two batters later, Ryan Frontera brought him across to score with a sacrifice fly to right, giving the Pirates the 1-0 edge. Georgetown would quickly answer, however, putting up a four spot in the bottom of the first to take a 4-1 lead.
The Hoyas would add to their lead in the bottom of the second to take a 5-1 lead. Despite the four-run deficit, reliever Jayden Barroqueiro entered in the third with one runner on and nobody out and kept Georgetown's bats quiet. The lefty worked the next five innings, scattering just three hits and striking out six while not allowing a run. However, Seton Hall was unable to overcome the deficit as the Hoyas were able to capture game one of the series.
For Barroqueiro, it was his finest performance in a Pirate uniform this season and was his fourth scoreless outing in his last five appearances. Offensively, Frontera collected a pair of base hits on the night along with Magnus Krieger and Nick Tomasetto.
