Tempe, Ariz. – Kelsey Carr (Ridgewood, N.Y.) fired a complete game and allowed just two runs while four different Pirates drove in runs as Seton Hall took down Utah Valley, 4-2, on Sunday morning at Farrington Stadium on the campus of Arizona State.

The Pirates head back to Florida next weekend to participate in the FIU Classic hosted by Florida International University in Miami.
How it Happened
- Seton Hall got to work on the offensive side of things in the second inning. With two runners in scoring position, Caroline Hobbes (Bay Shore, N.Y.) laid down a bunt to score Miranda Arruda (Pawcatuck, Conn.). Later in the inning, Jenna Blevins (Flat Rock, Mich.) grounded out to shortstop to score the second Pirates run.
- Two more runs would come home for The Hall in the third inning. Katey Brennan (Yardley, Pa.) ripped an RBI triple down the right field line, followed by a fielder's choice from Erin Howard (Skillman, N.J.) to make it a 4-0 lead.
- Utah Valley got on the board with a pair of run scoring base hits in the sixth inning to cut the deficit in half. However, the Wolverines would strand two runners on base as Carr was able to work her way out of the inning.
- Carr struck out two over her seven innings of work to pick up her first win of the season.
- Each of batters 5-8 in the Seton Hall batting order drove in a run.
- In addition to her RBI triple, Brennan also scored a pair of runs.
- Lauren Caye (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Arruda and Brennan each stole a base, the first three stolen bases for the Pirates this season.
The Pirates head back to Florida next weekend to participate in the FIU Classic hosted by Florida International University in Miami.
