Olivia Gilbert Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK – OLIVIA GILBERT was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced on Monday. It marks the third time this season in which Gilbert has received a weekly award from the league.
Gilbert batted a team-best .625 with a home run, two doubles and three runs scored as the Pirates went 2-1 against DePaul to conclude the regular season. The junior went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate with a solo home run in Friday's 4-1 win over the Blue Demons. In the series finale, Gilbert went 2-for-3 at the dish with a double and a run scored as The Hall closed out the three-game set with a 10-6 win.
The Pirates will head up to Providence this week for the BIG EAST Tournament and play their opening game on Wednesday at 12 p.m. against St. John's.
