Bjork, Molina Land BIG EAST Honors After Banner Week

NEW YORK, N.Y. – After only allowing one goal during a 1-0-1 week, graduate defender Sam Bjork (Huskvarna, Sweden) landed BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week honors, while Matias Molina (Rosario, Argentina) landed on the Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced Monday.
Bjork showcased his strong two-way play in The Hall's 5-0 win over FIU, collecting a goal and an assist, in addition to helping the Pirates secure their seventh shutout of the season. Against the Wildcats, Bjork scored the Pirates' lone goal on the day in a 1-1 draw out at Villanova. With his two goal, one assist week, Bjork secured his third-consecutive season with at least two goals and two assists on Seton Hall's backline.
Seton Hall will play next on Friday, October 17, when the Akron Zips visit South Orange in a high-stakes BIG EAST clash. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ with the opening kick set for 6:56 p.m. EST.
