No. 21 Pirates Draw Creighton in Final BIG EAST Road Bout
11/1/2025 8:41:00 PM | Men's Soccer
The Pirates quickly found themselves in the lead in the first half thanks to a 7th-minute circus shot goal from Mikkel Lejbowicz that put The Hall up 1-0. However, the Pirates' offense pressure waned as the half went on, allowing Creighton to tie the match 1-1 heading into the break. Both sides had chances in the second half, including a few near misses by the Pirates, but neither could find the goal to break the stalemate, resulting in a draw.
With the draw, Seton Hall moves to 7-2-7 on the season and 3-0-4 in BIG EAST play.
Despite that early momentum after the goal, Creighton quickly regained momentum. Putting the Pirates on the back foot defensively. For long stretches, the Pirates remained unable to get an offensive possession going past the midline. Eventually, that pressure broke, and Creighton notched things up at 1-1 in the 32nd minute. As the clock approached halftime, the two sides struggled offensively, and the match remained a draw entering the break.A goal is a goal, however it comes 🤷♂️ Mikkel Lejbowicz with quite the finish for Seton Hall!#NCAASoccer x 🎥 ESPN+ / @SHUMSOC

Out of the break, both sides spent the opening five minutes finding their footing on the offensive end once again. What ensued after that time elapsed was a flurry of shots from both sides, including a screamer from Lejbowicz that Creighton saved.
After that flurry, both sides struggled to find that goal-scoring opportunity. In the 87th minute, Axel Berglund pushed for the Pirates' final offensive chance of the night. It once again, however, the shot resulted in a save by the Blue Jays, ending the match in a 1-1 draw.
