Former head manager Shaaliyah Lyons joined the women's basketball staff as Director of Basketball Operations prior to the 2017-18 season.

Lyons no stranger to the Women’s Basketball program as she spent her entire four-year undergraduate career as a student manager for head coach Anthony Bozzella. She is also a former intern for the Unity Sports Group in Summit, N.J. where she handled the communications and marketing aspect of the summer camps and adult summer league.

At the Future Project Newark, Lyons developed and coordinated sports related programs with high school students. She is also the founder of the Together We Conquer Life Skills Basketball Camp.

With coaching experience as well, Lyons was the Plainfield High School Women’s Basketball Assistant Head Coach and Head Coach of the Unity Sports Legend Fall AAU Program. She earned her B.S. from Seton Hall in Sport Management with a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Studies and a Minor in Africana Studies in May of 2017.
