Cathy Mallon enters her second season as diving coach in 2018-19 following a successful debut campaign in 2017-18, coaching Taylor Jackson to a BIG EAST title off the 3-meter board where she posted a program-record score of 546.00 as a freshman.

In addition to her coaching responsibilities in South Orange, Mallon is the head diving coach at Montgomery High School where she has shared her diving expertise since 2009. Additionally, she has served as diving coach at various recreation departments across New Jersey for nearly 30 years.

Mallon was inducted into The College of New Jersey Athletics Hall of Fame in 2013 and was a three-time captain for the Lions during her tenure as a varsity diving student-athlete.

An experienced teaching professional, Mallon holds a master’s degree in education (mathematics), and specializes in working with children with learning challenges.
