Navarrete Makes N.Y. Mets AAA Opening Day Roster

NORFOLK, Va.-- Seton Hall baseball alum Ray Navarrete made the Norfolk Tides opening day roster. Navarrete came to the Norfolk Tides, the AAA affiliate of the N.Y. Mets, after spending the 2005 season with the AA Houston Astros.
Navarrete played for the Pirates from 1997-2000, and was signed by Pittsburgh in 2001 after leaving Seton Hall. Navarrete ranks among Seton Hall's leaders in runs (10th-144), hits (9th-207), at-bats (8th-601), and doubles (2nd-51).
