
Golf In Fifth Place After Day One of Rutgers Invitational

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Seton Hall golf team is in fifth place after 36-holes at the Rutgers Invitational. The Pirates shot a team score of 593 (296, 297) and are 29 strokes back of first place South Carolina-Upstate.
Senior Kyle Morris (Powell, Ohio) was Seton Hall's low scorer after shooting a +3 (73+72=145). Morris is tied for ninth place, eight shots behind USC-Upstate's Michael Lawrence.
Sophomore Ryan Castanet (McDonald, Pa.) and junior John Zur (Glenview, Ill.) are tied for 21st place. He finished up the first 18-holes one-over par (72) and shot a +5 (76) in the afternoon. Zur (Glenview, Ill.) shot a pair of +3 (74+74=148) rounds.
Freshman Colin Van Es (Granger, Ind.) made his collegiate debut and is tied for 45th after a +10 day (77+75=152). Senior Richard Brazeau (Portsmouth, N.H.) is tied for 52nd after shooting a pair of 77s (+12, 154).
The Pirates wrap up play at the Rutgers Invitational on Sept. 15. Tee-times begin at 7:30 a.m.
