
Golf Leads Big 5 Invitational After Round One

BIG 5 - ROUND ONE RESULTS
FLOURTOWN, PA. The Seton Hall golf team is currently leading the field of 15 teams after day one of the Big 5 Invitational hosted by Temple University. The Pirates shot a 6-over-par, 290, in the first round and are currently two strokes ahead of second place Villanova. Temple’s Kevin Busteed leads the field after round one having shot a 2-under-par, 69. Junior Ryan Castanet (McDonald, Pa.) shot a 3-over-par, 74, and is tied for 14th place individually. Freshman Troy Spencer (High Point, N.C.) fired a 5-over-par, 76, which ties him for 29th place individually. Sophomore Borja Faixat Llanas (Barcelona, Spain) made his first appearance as a Pirate and shot a 10-over-par, 81. Seton Hall is looking for their third win in five tournaments this fall. The Pirates are coming off a victory in the Scotty Duncan Memorial last weekend. Their 290 shot in the first round of the Big 5 Invitational marks the third time they’ve shot a 290 or lower in a first round this season. Seton Hall won the respective tournaments both prior times.
