
Golf Rallies To Win Rutgers Invitational By One Stroke

FINAL RESULTS
PISCATAWAY, N.J. Freshman Troy Spencer (High Point, N.C.) shot a tournament best 4-under-par, 67, in the second round as the Seton Hall men’s golf team rallied from a seven stroke deficit following round one to win the Rutgers Invitational on Saturday.
After the first round, Seton Hall found itself in fifth place, but shot a 5-under-par, 279, on the second day to edge USC Upstate, the leader following round one, by one stroke. It marks the first time in the three-plus years that Clay White has been the head coach that Seton Hall has shot a round under 280 strokes.
Seton Hall won the tournament with a 1-under-par, 567, while USC Upstate shot an even par 568.
