JOHN ZUR NAMED TO BIG EAST GOLF ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

The Pirates’ lone senior and team captain, Zur competed in 10 tournaments this year and all six in the spring season. A Top-10 finisher four times, he led Seton Hall with a 74.56 stroke average for the year. In the best single-tournament performance of his career, Zur shot a 5-under-par, 69-72-70, 211, to finish tied for fifth place at the 2009 BIG EAST Championship. His performance led Seton Hall to a third place team finish for a second consecutive year. Additionally, Zur had three sub-70-stroke rounds this year and guided the Pirates to team victories in the Rutgers Invitational and Scotty Duncan Memorial Tournament in the fall.
Joining Zur on the BIG EAST All-Conference Team are Karsten Clements, Adam Hadwin and Riley Wheeldon of Louisville, Dustin Schwab and Mike Van Sickle of Marquette, Doug Fortner and Max Scodro of Notre Dame, Robby Carl of USF, Alberto Fernandez of Cincinnati and Timothy Hager of Georgetown.
