
Baseball Begins Three Game Set at West Virginia Thursday Night

SETON HALL TRAVELS TO WEST VIRGINIA FOR WEEKEND SERIES: The Seton Hall Pirates take their 5-7 BIG EAST Conference record on the road to face the 8-4 West Virginia Mountaineers. The Mountaineers enter the weekend tied for second place in the conference standings, while the Pirates are tied for eighth.

Game 35: at West Virginia - Fri. April 22 - 5:00 p.m. - Hawley Field
Game 36: at West Virginia - Sat. April 23 - 1:00 p.m. - Hawley Field
SETON HALL ALL-TIME AGAINST WEST VIRGINIA: The Pirates have won 13 of the 37 meetings between the two programs dating back to 1976. Seton Hall has also been outscored, 251-184.
LAST TIME THEY PLAYED: The two programs opened the 2010 BIG EAST regular-season against each other in South Orange with the Pirates winning game one, 2-0, behind a strong performance by Joe DiRocco. The Mountaineers followed by winning the next two outscoring the Hall, 8-2, to win the series. This weekend marks the first trip Seton Hall is making to Morgantown since 2007.
ON DECK: The Pirates continue traveling with a weekday non-conference game at Monmouth on Tuesday before making a trip to Notre Dame for a three-game weekend series.
APPROACHING 1,900 WINS
As a program, the Seton Hall Pirates begin this weekend with 1,895 wins dating back to the 1863 season. They are five wins shy of the 1,900 mark.
CONTINUING ON THE CAREER PATH
A.J. Rusbarsky picked up six assists last weekend against USF to increase his career-record total of assists in a Pirates uniform to 631. He broke the 15-year old record of 489 set by Mike Moriarty in 1995 on May 8, 2010 in a, 9-7, win against Pittsburgh at Owen T. Carroll Field.
STRIKE OUT CANCER DONATIONS
Although the weekend tournament is over, fans can still donate to the American Cancer Society by visiting the baseball page at www.shupirates.com. Also, Seton Hall Athletics will be selling the white hats with the pink "SH" - same as the ones worn by the players and coaches throughout the weekend - for $30. All proceeds will go to ACS.
PIRATES DROP SERIES TO USF
After falling to USF in the first two games, the Pirates salvaged the series with a, 6-0, shutout led by Jon Prosinski and his 7.2 scoreless innings on the mound. In the series, Ryan Sullivan picked up his team-leading third home run, giving Seton Hall an early, 3-0, lead in game two.
A "PRO" PERFORMANCE
In need of a solid start, Jon Prosinski helped salvage the series against USF with 7.2 scoreless innings as the Pirates defeated the Bulls, 6-0. While reaching the eighth inning, and recording two outs before being removed, Prosinski allowed only four hits while striking out six.
PROSINSKI LANDS ON HONOR ROLL
Jon Prosinski's outing against USF landed him on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the first time this season and in his career.
