SETON HALL WELCOMES GEORGETOWN FOR FINAL BIG EAST SERIES OF REGULAR SEASON: The Seton Hall baseball team welcomes Georgetown as they begin their final regular-season BIG EAST weekend one game behind USF for the eighth and final playoff spot.

SETON HALL ALL-TIME AGAINST GEORGETOWN: The Pirates are 67-21 against their rival Georgetown Hoyas dating back to their first meeting in 1985. In the previous 88 meetings, the Hall have outscored Georgetown, 653-328.
LAST TIME THEY PLAYED: Seton Hall swept Georgetown by outscoring them, 14-5, back in April of 2009 at Owen T. Carroll Field. After back-to-back shutouts of, 2-0, and, 6-0, the Pirates defeated the Hoyas, 6-5, to complete the sweep. It was the Pirates last BIG EAST series sweep until they swept Louisville May 5-7, 2011.

DIROCCO NAMED NJCBA PITCHER OF THE YEAR
Joe DiRocco was named the New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association's Pitcher of the Year for his impressive 2011 season. He is the third Seton Hall pitcher to be named to the top honor since 2008 following Corey Young (2008) and Keith Cantwell (2009).
ALL-NJCBA TEAMS
Giuseppe Papaccio (3B), Zack Granite (OF), and Ryan Harvey (RP) were named to the All-NJCBA First Team. Sean Gusrang (1B), Mike Genovese (2B), and Jon Prosinski (SP) received Second Team honors, while Dillon Hamlin (C) and Brian Gilbert (SP) were named to the All-Rookie Team. A.J. Rusbarsky was honored as a Distinguished Senior.
GENOVESE MAKES njcba TEAM AS INFIELDER
For the second straight year, Mike Genovese was named to the All-NJCBA Second Team, however it was the first time he earned the honor as an infielder. In his freshman campaign in 2010, the Livingston native received the award as a relief pitcher.
PROSINSKI NAMED TO WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
For the second time in as many weeks,, Jon Prosinski has been named to a BIG EAST weekly honor, this time on the honor roll following his eight innings six strikeout performance against Cincinnati in game two of their doubleheader on Saturday, May 14. The sophomore right-hander allowed only one run in the outing, and eighth inning tally that was his first in 22.2 innings.
