Jon Prosinski Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Seton Hall junior Jon Prosinski (Skillman, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST's Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
The right-handed ace threw a complete-game, shutout while scattering just five hits in Seton Hall's 5-0 victory over Fordham, Friday at Owen T. Carroll Field. Prosinski struck out five batters and didn't issue a single walk in improving to 3-2 on the young season. For his efforts, he was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Strikeout Cancer Tournament this weekend.
Other weekly honors include: Louisville's Ty Young being named BIG EAST Player of the Week and Rutgers' Rob Corsi earning BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week recognition. Joining Prosinski on the Honor Roll are Notre Dame's Will Hudgins, St. John's Sean O'Hare, Villanova's Tyler Sciacca and West Virginia's Ryan Tezak.
The Pirates will return to the diamond on Tuesday, March 20, when they host Saint Peter's at Owen T. Carroll Field. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 pm.
