Jon Prosinski Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Seton Hall junior Jon Prosinski (Skillman, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST's Weekly Honor Roll on Monday for the third time this season.
The right-handed ace continued his dominant season with a victory at #19 Louisville on Friday. Prosinski went 6.2 innings and gave up just one earned run to the BIG EAST's top offense. He struck out four and didn't issue a walk, while guiding the Pirates to a 3-2 series-opening win. Prosinski has now given up just three earned runs in his last 38.2 innings pitched. His ERA in BIG EAST play is a miniscule 0.91.
Other weekly honors include: St. John's Matt Wessinger being named BIG EAST Player of the Week and Louisville's Jared Ruxer earning BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week recognition. Joining Prosinski on the Honor Roll are Cincinnati's Christian McElroy, Georgetown's Jack Vander Linden, Rutgers' Ryan Fasano and USF's Todd Brazeal.
The Pirates will return to the diamond on Tuesday, April 17, when they host NYIT at Owen T. Carroll Field. Game time is scheduled for 3:30 pm.
