
Baseball Suffers 7-0 Setback at Saint Peter's

JERSEY CITY, N.J. - The Seton Hall baseball team could only muster five hits and was shut out for the first time this season at Saint Peter's, 7-0, on Tuesday.
The loss snaps a season-long five-game a win streak for the Pirates who fall to 26-19 overall.
Junior Greg Terhune (Washington, N.J.) took the loss, going four innings and giving up three earned runs. Terhune also walked two batters and had one strike out.
Saint Peter's took the lead in the bottom of the first inning when on an RBI single with one out.
After keeping the game close for three innings, the Peacocks scored in innings four through seven to put the game out of reach.
Junior Giuseppe Papaccio (Nutley, N.J.) was the lone Pirate with a pair of hits. The short stop finished 2-for-4 on the day. Will Walsh (New Milford, N.J.), Mike Genovese (Livingston, N.J.) and Tyler Boyd (Succasunna, N.J) also had hits for Seton Hall in the loss.
Saint Peter's starter Joe Jimenez went the distance on a complete game, shutout. Jimenez scattered just five hits, struck out six and walked just one.
Seton Hall will return to the diamond on Friday when it travels to Georgetown University to open a three-game set with the Hoyas. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
