Ryan Harvey Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Seton Hall junior Ryan Harvey (Manalapan, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
The right-hander won a pitcher's duel on Saturday, helping the Pirates to a 2-1 victory at Georgetown. Harvey pitched the first complete game of his career and scattered just two hits, neither of which came after the fourth inning. He walked four batters and matched his season-high with nine strikeouts. Harvey's lone blemish was a solo home run given up in the third inning. With the victory, he improves to 5-3 on the season and has a team-best 2.76 ERA and 72 strikeouts in only 58.2 innings pitched.
Other weekly honors include: St. John's Sean O'Hare named BIG EAST Player of the Week and USF's Andrew Barbosa earning BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week recognition. Joining Harvey on the Honor Roll are Cincinnati's Zack Morris, Connecticut's Anthony Marzi, Notre Dame's Adam Norton and Pittsburgh's Rick Devereaux.
The Pirates will return to the diamond today, when they host Saint Joseph's at Owen T. Carroll Field. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
