GRASONVILLE, MD. – The Seton Hall men’s golf team fired a first round 25-over-par, 313, and is currently tied for 12^th among 24 teams at the 2013 Whiting Turner Towson Invitational following round one.   David Cha (Carrollton, Texas) and JT Harper (Pebble Beach, Calif.) led the Pirates with a pair of 5-over-par, 77, scores.  The duo is currently tied for 35^th place among 123 individual golfers.   Collectively, the Pirates trail team leader, William & Mary, by 22 shots entering Monday’s second round.  Fellow BIG EAST Foe Rutgers is currently in second place at 12-over-par.    
Cory Wilson (Newton, N.J.) is two strokes behind Cha and Harper after his 7-over-par, 79, on Sunday.  Wilson is currently tied for 55^th overall.

Junior Gary Dunne (Wicklow, Ireland), the only Pirate to make the trip with experience on this course, shot an 8-over-par, 80.  Dunne is still recovering from an injured wrist.

Kamaal Khatumal (Sierra Leone, West Africa) made his collegiate debut with Seton Hall and rounded out the Pirates’ scoring with a 10-over-par, 82.

Seton Hall will return to the links tomorrow for round two of the three-round event at Prospect Bay Country Club in Grasonville, Md.
