
Baseball Gains Top-25 Ranking

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Winners of 12 straight games and 16 of its last 17, the Seton Hall baseball team has cracked the Top-30 national rankings by Collegiate Baseball. The Pirates are ranked 24th with 433 points. Seton Hall is also receiving votes in each of the other three major college baseball national polls sponsored by Baseball America, National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association (NCBWA) and the USA Today Coaches. The last time a Seton Hall team ended a season ranked in the Top-30 by Collegiate Baseball was in 1987 (#22). The Pirates will return to action on Tuesday, May 14 for their final non-conference game of the season. Seton Hall will face Michigan at Citi Field in Flushing, N.Y. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. The game is a closed event, open only to invited family members of the student-athletes.
