UCLA and Washington, currently ranked in the top-20 of the Golfstat rankings released April 2, headline a stellar field that also includes Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, Cal State Northridge, Denver, Long Beach State, Nevada, North Carolina State, Northern Colorado, Northern Illinois, Oregon State, Pepperdine, San Diego, Seton Hall, St. John's and host Seattle.
Chambers Bay, home of the 2015 United States Open Championship, is a unique tribute to the historic links of Scotland and Ireland. With Puget Sound providing a serene backdrop to Chambers Bay, this breathtaking layout winds through a stunning coastal setting, among windswept dunes and native fescue grasses. The snow-capped Olympic Mountains rim the western shore and eagles keep silent watch overhead. In every sense, Robert Trent Jones II has created an awe-inspiring design that is as spectacular as the beauty surrounding it.
Seton Hall's lineup will consist of Lloyd Jefferson Go (Guadalupe Cebu City, Philippines), Gary Dunne (Wicklow, Ireland), Cory Wilson (Newton, N.J.), Derrick Kim (New City, N.Y.) and JT Harper (Pebble Beach, Calif.).
The Pirates are coming off an impressive fourth place tie among 22 teams at the Whiting-Turner Towson Invitational last weekend. Seton Hall finished the two-day event at 36-over-par with a 313-299-612, 14 strokes behind the team champion, VCU. Go was the top individual performer for the Pirates. The freshman finished in a sixth place tie among 115 golfers with a 6-over-par, 76-74-150.
