Snouffer Helps MGolf to Eighth After 2 Rds

GOODYEAR, ARIZ. - Junior Ryan Snouffer (Sparta, N.J.) shot a 2-under-par, 70, in Monday's second round to lead the Seton Hall men's golf team into eighth place tie with 18 holes remaining at the Neville Kovacs Group Intercollegiate.

Collectively, the Pirates shaved 13 strokes off their first round score on Monday. The Hall fired a 1-over-par, 289, in round two with four golfers shooting +2 or better. Heading into round three, Seton Hall is in eighth place at 15-over-par with a 302-289-591, and trails the team leader, Utah Valley, by 22 strokes. Only Gonzaga had a better second round in the field of 17 teams.

Snouffer finished his day with 16 pars and two birdies. Through two rounds, he's tied for seventh place with a 1-under-par, 73-70-143. Snouffer is six strokes behind the individual leader, J.T. Timmons of Utah Valley.

Hosted by Loyola University (Md.) at the Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear, Ariz. the tournament features 18 holes per day, Sunday through Tuesday, on the Club's Palm Course, measuring a par-72 at 7,015 yards.

Lloyd Jefferson Go (Guadalupe Cebu City, Philippines) and another strong round in Arizona. The sophomore shaved four strokes off his first round score to finish with a 1-under-par, 71, on Monday. Go was even-par through nine holes, birdying hole #11 and bogeying hole #12. He parred the first four holes after the turn and then birdied holes #5 and #5, before bogeying #8. Through 36 holes, Go is tied for 18th place with a 2-over-par, 75-71-146.

JT Harper (Pebble Beach, Calif.) started his day with 11 straight pars before bogeying hole #3 and hole #5 to finish with a 2-over-par, 74, on Monday. The senior is currently tied for 23rd place at 3-over-par with a 73-74-147 with 18 holes remaining.

David Cha (Carrollton, Texas) had a vastly improved second round. The junior shot seven strokes better than on Sunday and finished with a 2-over-par, 74. Cha was 4-over-par at the turn, but shot 2-under on the front nine, birdying holes two and five to go with seven pars. Through two rounds, he is 11-over-par with an 81-74-155.

For sophomore Kevin O'Brien (Wexford, Pa.), his first round troubles manifested again in round two. He shot a 12-over-par, 84, on Monday and is currently 22-over-par with a 82-84-166.
