Jenkins Named to Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Junior Derek Jenkins (Annandale, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST Baseball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
Jenkins led Seton Hall with a .400 average in five victories last week. The Pirates' speedster stole five bases and now leads the BIG EAST with 12 on the season. Against Lafayette on Wednesday, Jenkins had a team-high three hits, and scored twice. Against Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday, he went 2-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and two RBIs.
Creighton's Reagan Fowler was named BIG EAST Player of the Week. St. John's Ryan McCormick was named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week. Those joining Jenkins on the Honor Roll include: Georgetown's Simon Mathews, Xavier's Andre Jernigan and both Michael Fries and Luke Johnson of Butler.
Jenkins and the rest of the Pirates will return to action tomorrow (Tuesday) as they host Rider at Owen T. Carroll Field. First pitch has been moved up to 3:00 p.m.
