PREVIEW
Seton Hall had its nine-game win streak snapped by St. John's last weekend. The Pirates dropped two of three games at St. John's in what was a battle of the only unbeaten teams in BIG EAST play. Seton Hall did however, salvage the final game of the series in grand style. On Friday, The Hall fell 5-1. Joe Poduslenko collected three of the Pirates five hits. On Saturday, Seton Hall lost 7-4. Kyle Grimm reached base three times. On Sunday however, the Pirates' offense broke out in a 19-4 victory. Zach Schellenger improved to 2-1 on the season with the victory. Sal Annunziata reached base five times, going 4-for-5 with a home run, four runs scored and three RBIs. Zack Weigel and Ryan Ramiz collected four RBIs apiece as well. Seton Hall's 19 runs are the most scored for the program in a BIG EAST contest since 2004. For his efforts during the week, Joe Poduslenko was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the first time in his career. Earlier this week, Seton Hall lost to Monmouth, 3-1 in 10 innings, in a mid-week contest on Tuesday. Anthony Pacillo threw a season-high eight innings and gave up only one earned run in a no decision.
SERIES INFO.
(Butler leads, 2-1)
Seton Hall will welcome Butler to the friendly confines of Owen T. Carroll Field this weekend for three games starting Friday. The teams had never played before their series last season. In the series finale, Seton Hall lost 7-6, but six of Butler's seven runs were unearned because of four Pirate errors. D.J. Ruhlman batted .583 and Sal Annunziata batted .500 in the three-game series vs. the Bulldogs last year. Annunziata slugged .900.
PACILLO STRONG IN LOSS
Sophomore Anthony Pacillo tossed a season-high eight innings and gave up only one run, but had to settle for a no decision. Seton Hall fell to Monmouth, 3-1, in 10 innings on Wednesday.
ROUTING ST. JOHN'S
After losses on Friday and Saturday, Seton Hall avoided a sweep by defeating the Red Storm, 19-4, on Sunday. Zach Schellenger picked up his second career victory with 5.0 innings of four-run baseball. Zack Weigel and Ryan Ramiz had four RBIs each for the Pirates.
PODUSLENKO'S HONOR ROLL
Sophomore Joe Poduslenko was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the first time in his career on Monday. The Glen Mills, Pa. native batted .389 for the week, but batted a team-best .500 in three games at St. John's. Poduslenko collected at least two hits in all three games.
BIG OFFENSE

POSITIONAL PODUSLENKO
Making an impressive week even more noteworthy, Joe Poduslenko played five different positions in four games last week. The sophomore started at third base in Seton Hall's victory at Wagner on Wednesday. He started in right field at St. John's on Friday. Poduslenko was the designated hitter in Queens on Saturday.
