SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall men's soccer team (3-10-1, 1-5-0 BIG EAST) returns to Owen T. Carroll Field on Wednesday night for a two-game swing to close out the regular season home slate. The Hall will take on Georgetown (5-8-1, 2-3-1) at 7 p.m. in a contest set to air on the BIG EAST Digital Network and FOX Sports GO app.
The Hall is in the midst of a tough stretch of BIG EAST play, dropping each of its last three conference matches by a single goal including 1-0 setbacks in its most recent outings vs. Providence and at Butler. Georgetown is coming off a 1-0 victory over St. John's in its last contest and has won its last two overall.
The Pirates and Hoyas have played 35 matches in their respective histories and nearly split the series straight down the middle, with an all-time record of 17-16-2 in favor of GU. In Georgetown's last visit to South Orange, Shawn Morrison (York, Pa.) assisted on an Andrew LoManto winner in the second half to propel the Pirates to a 1-0 upset of the then-No. 3 Hoyas during the 2014 campaign. Julian Spindler (Weiersbach, Germany) made eight saves in the shutout victory.
