South Orange, N.J. - In its season-opening meet, the Seton Hall women's swimming & diving team came away with convincing victories over Saint Peter's (157-41) and Montclair State (158-93), Friday at Imperatore Natatorium.
Eight different Pirates picked up event victories, and two of them scored a pair of singles victories. Freshman Grace Endersby (Caldwell, N.J.) won both the 100 and 200 breaststroke events, racing the 100 in a time of 1:08.30 and the 200 in a time of 2:28.35. Fellow freshman Sara Ouellette (Granby, Conn.) delivered wins in both the 200 freestyle (1:57.56) and 200 backstroke (2:04.44).
Sophomore Aitana Robinson (London, Ontario) won the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.47, freshman Elizabeth Sargent (Trumbull, Conn.) scored a win in the 200 butterfly (2:11.41) and freshman Jordan Decker (Mason, Ohio) won the 100 freestyle, clocking in at 54.91. The trio combined with sophomore Courtney McCardle (Hurley, N.Y.) to win the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:50.14.
