Annapolis, Md. – The Seton Hall women's tennis team quickly secured the doubles point Saturday, and efficiently defeated Morgan State, 6-1.
Junior Luize Strike (Riga, Latvia) and freshman Melody Taal (Ede, Netherlands) paired for a 6-1 victory at No. 2 doubles to start the afternoon for the Pirates. Sophomores Thandy Kangwa (Fort Myers, Fla.) and Anna Fajnorova (Bratislava, Slovakia) then picked up a 6-0 victory at No. 1 doubles to secure the point.
Strike, Fajnorova, junior Katie Kim (Honolulu, Hawaii), freshman Anniek Jansen (Naarden, Nethlerlands)
and freshman Krista Cerpina (Riga, Latvia) all won in their respective singles matches to secure the fourth victory of the season for The Hall.
Looking ahead, the Pirates return to action against weekend host, Navy, at 9 a.m. Sunday.
