Nagai Named BIG EAST Men's Golfer of the Week

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall sophomore Gen Nagai (Mandaue Cebu City, Philippines) was named BIG EAST Men's Golfer of the Week on Saturday.
Nagai was the top Pirate golfer for the duration of the three-round Fort Lauderdale Intercollegiate last week. The sophomore shot even-par for the event with a 70-71-75-216. He placed fourth overall, among 84 individual golfers, just four strokes behind the individual champion, Richmond's Keegan Hoff. It's Nagai's fourth top-10 finish in his career and his second top-5.
Collectively, the Pirates finished second, 13 strokes behind the team champion, Richmond. For the tournament, the Pirates finished at 20-over-par with a 293-289-302-884.
The Pirates will return to the links on March 25 for the first round of the Towson Spring Invitational in Grasonville, Md.
