Ryan Testani Named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall senior Ryan Testani (Shelton, Conn.) was named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week on Monday.
Testani appeared in two games last week, picking up a win and a save. He didn't allow a single run and only gave up a total of three hits. On Tuesday at Stetson, Testani worked a perfect ninth inning, earning a save in the Pirates' 5-1 victory. On Saturday at No. 2 Florida, he turned in one of the great relief pitching performances in Seton Hall history. Testani entered the game in the seventh inning and proceeded to pitch the next six innings, earning the victory after the Pirates took the lead in the 13th inning.
Georgetown's Jake Kuzbel was named BIG EAST Player of the Week. Members of the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll include: Butler's Jeff Schank, Creighton's Clark Brinkman, St. John's Gui Gringas, Villanova's Hunter Schryver and Xavier's Joe Gellenbeck.
The Pirates will return to action on Friday, March 13 for their 2017 home opener at Owen T. Carroll Field against Manhattan College. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. ET.
