Poduslenko Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall senior Joe Poduslenko (Glen Mills, Pa.) was named to the BIG EAST Baseball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
This is the third time this season that Poduslenko has been honored by the BIG EAST. He was named BIG EAST Player of the Week on Feb. 20 and was a member of the Weekly Honor Roll on Feb. 27.
Poduslenko was brilliant in four games last week. He hit safely in all four contests and led the team in hits, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, home runs and RBIs. Poduslenko hit a home run in three consecutive games, driving in a total of 10 RBIs last week. On Wednesday vs. Princeton, Poduslenko went 2-for-5 with a grand slam and five RBIs. In game one of Saturday's doubleheader against LIU-Brooklyn, the third baseman hit a three-run home run and drove in four runs. In game two, he went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk. On Sunday, Poduslenko reached base twice again with a single and a hit-by-pitch.
St. John's Jesse Berardi was named BIG EAST Player of the Week. Creighton's Rollie Lacy was named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week. Those joining Poduslenko on the Honor Roll include: Butler's Michael Hartnagel, St. John's Sean Mooney, Villanova's Hunter Schryver and Xavier's Connor Grammes.
The Pirates will return to action on Wednesday, April 5 when they host Wagner at Owen T. Carroll Field. First pitch scheduled for 4:00 p.m. ET.
