Cullen Dana Named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall sophomore Cullen Dana (Montgomery, N.Y.) was named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week on Monday.
Dana turned in his best start of the season at No. 11 St. John's on Saturday. The left-hander shut out the Red Storm over seven innings, while striking out eight batters and walking only two. The victory moves Dana over the .500 mark on the season at 4-3. It's the first time this season that the high-powered St. John's offense has been shut out.
St. John's Michael Donadio was named BIG EAST Player of the Week. Members of the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll include: St. John's Sean Mooney, Villanova's Hunter Schryver, Xavier's Rylan Bannon and both Simon Mathews and Zac Racusin of Georgetown.
Dana and the rest of the Pirates will return to action this weekend when they host Creighton for a three-game series beginning Friday. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
