Pirates Begin Dual Match Season This Weekend

South Orange, N.J. -- The Seton Hall women's tennis team launches into its spring season this weekend with two matches at Centercourt Sports in Florham Park. The Pirates host Fordham on Saturday at 1 p.m. and Marist on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Pirates will look to build off a strong fall season as they prepare to enter into the spring session.
Sophomore Melody Taal (Ede, Netherlands) qualified for singles play in the ITA Regionals in October. She picked up two hard-fought wins in the opening rounds of the tournament and will try to build off that momentum heading into dual match season.
Senior Luize Strike (Riga, Latvia) also picked up a singles win in her match during the ITA Regionals. She will look to lead the team in the top two singles slots along with junior Anna Fajnorova (Bratislava, Slovakia). The duo combined for 15 dual match singles wins during the 2017 campaign.
