Pirates Suffer Setbacks to WVU, Xavier

Morgantown, W.Va. – The Seton Hall women's swimming & diving team fell to West Virginia, 217-82, and BIG EAST rival Xavier, 176-111, this weekend at the WVU Tri-Meet.
Sophomore Taylor Jackson (Thornton, Colo.) won the 3-meter dive with a score of 252.75, knocking off reigning Big 12 Diver of the Week, Averly Hobbs of West Virginia.
Sophomore Alexa Kolodgie (Baltimore, Md.) took second in the 100 breast (1:07.41) and the 200 breast (2:26.40). Junior Theresa Hutton (Stony Point, N.Y.) finished fifth in the 100 back with a time of 58.28.
In the 50 free, senior Courtney McCardle (Hurley, N.Y.) swam a 24.61, good for fourth place. She also finished third in the 100 free with a time of 53.36.
Junior Sara Ouellette (Granby, Conn.) took third in the 200 back with a time of 2:05.99.
Up next, the Pirates will head to Philadelphia to take on Drexel on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 1 p.m.
