McCardle Dominates Sprints in Setback at Drexel

PHILADELPHIA – Senior Courtney McCardle (Hurley, N.Y.) picked up wins in the 50, 100 and 200 free as the Seton Hall women's swimming & diving team suffered a 184.5-109.5 setback in a non-conference dual meet at Drexel on Saturday.
McCardle swam a 24.75 in the 50 free, 52.04 in the 100, and 1:55.29 in the 200 to secure major points for the Pirates. Freshman Heidi Dickson (Greenwich, N.J.) also had an outstanding meet, delivering wins in the 1000 free (10:35.21) and 500 free (5:13.98).
Sophomore Taylor Jackson (Thornton, Colo.) continued her dominant presence this season off the 3-meter board, winning on Saturday with a score of 264.60.
Up next, the Pirates will host Towson on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m. inside the Richie Regan Rec Center. Following the meet, there will be a family, friends and alumni gathering in the Walsh Gym lobby hosted by the Pirate Blue Athletic Fund.
