WILLIAMSBURG, VA. – Freshman Gregor Tait (Martlesham Heath, England) fired an even-par, 70, in round one and has led the Seton Hall men's golf team to a 10^th place standing with 36 holes left to play.

Tait had three birdies and three bogeys in round one and is currently tied for fourth among 127 individual golfers. He is two strokes off the individual lead.

Collectively, the Pirates shot a 19-over-par, 299, in round one. They are 12 strokes behind the team leader, Utah Valley, entering round two. Seton Hall's lone BIG EAST competition in the field, Xavier, is only three stroke ahead, tied for sixth place.

Senior Linus Yip (Sydney, Australia) and junior Chris Yeom (Flushing, N.Y.) are tied for 49^th place overall after shooting a 6-over-par, 76, in round one.

Sophomore Alex Chalk (Castle Douglas, Scotland) is only one stroke behind Yip and Yeom after shooting a 7-over-par, 77.

Junior Gen Nagai (Mandaue, Cebu City Philippines) is currently 11-over-par with an 81.
