
Yeom, Pirates Move Up Leader Board at Kingsmill

WILLIAMSBURG, VA. – Junior Chris Yeom (Flushing, N.Y.) fired an even-par, 70, in round two of the 2018 Kingsmill Intercollegiate to lead the Seton Hall men's golf team's charge up the leader board. The Hall is currently in sixth place with 18 holes remaining.
Yeom shaved six strokes off his first round score on the strength of 14 pars. He is currently tied for 16th place among 127 individual golfers with a 6-over-par, 76-70-146.
Collectively, the Pirates were nine shots better in round two, finishing with a 10-over-par 290. The improvement allowed them to jump four spots in the team standings. Through two rounds, Seton Hall is 29-over-par with a 299-290-589. It trails the team leader, Utah Valley, by 13 strokes entering Tuesday's final round.
Seton Hall's lone BIG EAST competition in the field, Xavier, is currently in 16th place at 43-over-par.
The Pirates' individual leader for the tournament continues to be Gregor Tait (Martlesham Heath, England). The freshman shot a 3-over-par, 73, in round two, and is currently tied for fifth place overall at 3-over-par with a 70-73-143.
Sophomore Alex Chalk (Castle Douglas, Scotland) improved five strokes in round two, shooting a 2-over-par, 70. Through two rounds, he is tied for 34th place overall with a 9-over-par 77-72-149.
Senior Linus Yip (Sydney, Australia) has been consistent throughout the tournament. Today, he logged his second straight 6-over-par, 76. Currently, he's tied for 58th place with a 12-over-par, 76-76-152.
Junior Gen Nagai (Mandaue, Cebu City Philippines) also improved mightily in round two, shaving off six strokes from his first round score. He shot a 5-over-par, 75, in round two. With 18 holes left, he is 16-over-par with an 81-75-156.
