MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. – The Seton Hall softball team (11-7) closed its time at the EMU Madeira Beach Invitational strong, picking up a 2-0 shutout victory over Buffalo (7-10) on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Pirates finish a 4-1 run in Madeira Beach as they hit the midway point of their 11-game spring break trip.

Madison Strunk (Adkins, Texas) was dominant for The Hall in the circle, tossing a complete game four-hitter to record her first shutout of the season. The Pirates got RBIs from freshmen Payton Beaver (Lake Stevens, Wash.) and Baylee Allender (Rosharon, Texas) in the win.

How it Happened

The Pirates jumped ahead quickly, getting a leadoff double from Janae Barracato (Hempstead, N.Y.) in the top of the first before Beaver's RBI single
That would be all of the game's offense until the top of the seventh when Allender singled home Katherine Matthys (Spring Branch, Texas)
The Bulls put a pair of runners on in the bottom of the seventh with two away, but Strunk induced a fly-out to end the contest
